Editorial standards

Useful travel guidance needs clear sources, honest limits and a way to correct mistakes.

Published 24 October 2026

Primary sources first

For immigration, health, emergency services and other consequential details, we prioritise the relevant government, official operator or recognised clinical public-health source. Source notes on guide pages identify the material used and the scope of review.

What a review date means

A review date records when the listed sources were checked for that topic. It does not mean every statement has been independently certified or that a rule will remain unchanged. Conflicting or unclear official information is described as uncertain and referred back to the relevant authority.

Estimates and opinions

Travel budgets and route timings depend on season, availability and personal choices. We label assumptions and let travellers change them. Practical tips are guidance; they are not risk scores, guarantees or proof that a provider is suitable.

No invented proof

We do not present illustrative testimonials, fabricated community reports, unsupported user counts or unverified professional-review badges as evidence. The community page is a route for reviewed contributions, not a live incident database.

Corrections

Use the feedback form with the affected page, the statement to correct and an official source where possible. Reports are reviewed before publication. This is not an emergency reporting channel.

Commercial transparency

This release does not sell bookings, take travel payments or include paid workshop registration. If commercial or affiliate relationships are added later, they should be disclosed where they affect a recommendation.
